About the role
Sydney CBD | 12-Month Rolling Contract | Opportunity to Convert to Permanent
Love being the person who knows what’s happening, keeps everything running and brings great energy to an office? This could be a brilliant role for you.
QIX Consulting is partnering with a leading financial services organisation to find a fabulous Front Office Receptionist to join their Sydney team.
Based in beautiful offices right in the heart of Sydney CBD, this is definitely not a role where you’ll be sitting behind a reception desk waiting for the phone to ring.
It’s a busy, social and highly visible position where you’ll become a real part of the team — looking after the day-to-day office experience, welcoming clients and visitors, coordinating meetings and events, supporting presentations and functions, and generally making sure everything runs beautifully.
The team has a great vibe and genuinely collaborative culture, with regular internal events, client functions and cocktail events, presentations and plenty happening across the business.
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be the face of the Sydney office while getting involved across a broad range of responsibilities, including:
Managing front of house, reception and incoming calls
Welcoming clients, candidates and visitors and managing sign-in
Coordinating staff and visitor access passes
Managing meeting rooms and ensuring they’re presentation-ready
Helping coordinate client events, cocktail functions, presentations and internal events
Organising catering, event setup and meeting requirements
Managing office supplies, kitchen stock and general office needs
Coordinating couriers, mail and deliveries
Liaising with IT around employee onboarding and offboarding, laptops and equipment
Managing the reception inbox and general enquiries
Working closely with building management, security and external vendors
Assisting with new employee inductions
Supporting workplace safety, security and compliance requirements
Assisting with audits and general administration
Being a key point of contact for on-site suppliers and service providers
We’d love to meet someone who has previous experience in reception, front office, office administration or a similar corporate role.
More importantly, you’ll be someone who:
Has a warm, polished and professional communication style
Loves dealing with people and building relationships
Takes initiative rather than waiting to be asked
Is organised and can juggle multiple priorities
Enjoys being busy, visible and involved
Takes pride in creating a fantastic experience for clients and colleagues
Brings positive energy to the office
Is comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels
There’s a lot to like about this opportunity.
You’ll be joining a vibrant, friendly and high-performing Sydney team, working from fantastic CBD offices and getting exposure well beyond traditional reception.
There are client events, presentations, functions and plenty of stakeholder interaction, so no two days will look exactly the same.
The role will initially be offered as a 12-month rolling contract, with a genuine opportunity to extend or potentially convert to permanent.
If you’re looking for a role where you can become a genuine part of the team, have some fun, meet great people and make the role your own, we’d love to hear from you.
