Your new company is a fast growing Office Fitout and Maintenance business delivering jobs anywhere from $50k to $1.5m. Working with some of Melbourne's largest government departments, architects and health care providers helping them modernise existing workspaces and alike. Due to exceptional growth in these and other sectors, we are offering a new position of Commercial Carpenter to assist us with taking the business to the next level.

Your new role:

As the Commercial Carpenter your role would be varied but mainly focused around the commercial fit out of our client premises, and supervision of onsite trades. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for site management

• Manage and undertake all aspects of the carpentry trade

• Assist in client refurbs

• Assist in client fitouts/makegoods

• Minor repairs on buildings (both facades and interiors)

• Partitions / Door Framing

• Door replacement/hanging/hardware installation

• Patch and paint if necessary

• Responsible for site inspections

• Onsite management of WH&S compliance

• Daily reporting to management

To be successful in the role you will ideally have the following experience:

• A least 8 years experience as a Site Manager/Carpenter/Maintenance Carpenter and familiar with commercial partitioning systems

• Experience in Overseeing/Managing Trades

• Demonstrated ability in working autonomously and as part of a team

• Dealing with clients

• Ability to cost & source materials and estimate minor works

Certification Requirements:

• Current Driver's License and a Car

• Construction Induction Card (White/Red Card)

• Police and Working with Children clearances or the ability to obtain this when requested

• First Aid Ticket desired

• Working at heights desired

• Elevated Work Platform  EWP (under 11m) Desired
