Role Description This part-time Business Analyst (Entry / Junior) role at Région académique de Guadeloupe is a hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of on-site work and work-from-home flexibility. The role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, supporting process reviews, and assisting in the analysis of data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. The Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to clarify needs, support the design of solutions, and help prepare reports, presentations, and basic dashboards. Day-to-day tasks include participating in meetings, capturing action items, maintaining documentation, and contributing to the testing and validation of changes to systems and processes. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives by providing clear, structured analysis and ensuring that changes are aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Ability to apply strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify patterns, and support evidence-based recommendations.Foundational Business Analysis capabilities, including documenting Business Requirements and supporting solution design.Understanding of Business Process concepts, with the ability to assist in mapping, reviewing, and improving workflows.Effective Communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, clarify requirements, and present findings clearly.Relevant tertiary studies (completed or in progress) in business, economics, information systems, data analytics, or a related field.Proficiency with common productivity and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, or similar), and willingness to learn new systems.Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and an interest in public sector or education-related projects are beneficial.
