Café Manager

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Café Manager with strong barista skills and a proven ability to lead in a fast-paced café environment. Based at our newly developed ECU City precinct, you'll oversee daily café operations while supporting the performance and consistency of multiple café sites across the campus. You'll create a welcoming, professional environment for both customers and your team while ensuring operational excellence across all locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and inspire large front-of-house teams across multiple café sites

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple outlets, ensuring consistency in service, food quality, and coffee standards

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high operational standards

• Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their full potential

• Coordinate catering for meetings, conferences, and campus events

• Monitor staffing, productivity, and performance across all sites

• Handle operational challenges calmly and make effective decisions under pressure

• Ensure food safety, compliance, and company standards are maintained across all locations

• Organise daily operations and drive continuous improvement in efficiency and customer experience

About You

• Experienced Café Manager with a proven track record in multi-site hospitality management

• Skilled barista with a genuine passion for specialty coffee

• Strong leadership experience in busy café or hospitality environments

• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Confident leading, coaching, and developing large teams

• Strong understanding of food safety and compliance requirements

• Positive, hands-on leadership style with exceptional attention to detail

• Kitchen experience is advantageous
