Team members work with modern equipment in a safety-focused environment and contribute directly to the performance and sustainability of clients’ operations.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Agricultural Drone Pilot role based in Hay, NSW. The Agricultural Drone Pilot operates agricultural drones to perform tasks such as aerial spraying, spreading, mapping, and crop monitoring according to job specifications and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include planning flight paths, conducting pre-flight and post-flight checks, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring safe operation in varied field conditions. The role involves coordinating with growers and internal team members to schedule jobs, collect and report field data, and maintain accurate records of operations and applications. The pilot is also responsible for routine maintenance of drones and associated equipment, adherence to safety and aviation regulations, and ongoing learning about new technologies and best practices in agricultural aviation.
Qualifications Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills for documenting flights, application rates, and compliance-related information.Basic technical and mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting, maintaining, and calibrating drones and related equipment.Ability to work on-site in outdoor environments, manage physical tasks associated with field operations, and adhere to safety protocols.Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with growers, supervisors, and colleagues in a time-sensitive service environment.Current or eligibility for relevant drone/RPAS licenses or certifications under applicable aviation regulations is highly beneficial.Valid driver’s license and reliable transport to work sites in and around Hay South, NSW.Prior experience in aviation, surveying, or precision agriculture is an advantage but not mandatory.
