Safety Direct Solutions Pty Ltd (SDS) is a nationally recognised provider of emergency response, medical and safety services. As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO #51632), our Medical Services Division employs Paramedics, Nurses and Emergency Service Officers to support clients across Australia and New Zealand, both onshore and offshore.
Our clients rely on our people to prepare for, respond to and effectively manage emergency situations in some of the most challenging environments.
SDS forms part of the SIS Group, alongside MSS Security, MSS-Strategic Medical & Rescue and State Medical Assistance.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven National Manager to lead our Medical Services Division.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the strategic direction, operational performance and financial success of the division. You will lead a diverse national workforce while identifying growth opportunities, developing strong client relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant and commercially sustainable services.
The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of leadership, commercial acumen and operational experience within the medical, emergency response, energy, mining or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
Drive national business growth by identifying new opportunities and leading the end-to-end tender and proposal process, including market research, strategy development and submission of high-quality, competitive proposals.
Lead the operational and strategic direction of the Medical Services Division to achieve business, financial and growth objectives.
Oversee divisional profitability, budgets, resource allocation and operational expenditure to maximise performance and deliver sustainable growth.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, developing tailored solutions that meet client requirements and deliver exceptional service outcomes.
Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual obligations, service level agreements, legislative requirements and company standards.
Lead the identification, management and mitigation of operational risks and ensure issues identified through site and operational reporting are addressed effectively.
Review and improve operational processes, systems and technologies to increase efficiency, productivity and service delivery.
Lead, mentor and develop a diverse national workforce, ensuring employees meet all legislative, compliance, education and professional development requirements.
Analyse financial and operational performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and support informed business decisions.
Oversee the division's HSEQ strategy, including the implementation and maintenance of ISO-aligned management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive a proactive safety and environmental culture while ensuring corrective actions are implemented and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
Foster strong collaboration across the broader business and support functions to ensure aligned and efficient service delivery.
Uphold company values, policies and the Code of Conduct, including managing performance and disciplinary matters when required.
About You
You are an accomplished senior leader with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.
You will be confident leading diverse teams, managing complex client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen a business. You understand the importance of delivering high-quality services while maintaining strong financial performance, compliance and operational excellence.

Essential Criteria
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Leadership, Healthcare or a related discipline, with postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
A minimum of five years' senior leadership experience within the medical, emergency response, energy, mining or related industries.
Demonstrated experience in business development, tender management and identifying new commercial opportunities.
Strong experience negotiating and managing client contracts, service agreements and performance requirements.
Sound understanding of critical transport, rural ambulance operations and/or medical support services within industrial environments.
Proven experience managing budgets, profitability, resources and operational expenditure.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to engage, develop and motivate a diverse workforce.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to analyse performance and drive sustainable growth.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Highly developed organisational, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
A strong commitment to patient care, safety, quality and operational excellence.
Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
Current National Police Clearance.
