Kitchen Hand

Little Miracles Terrigal is looking for a kitchen hand to work 9am to 2pm, 5 days a week. The successful applicants must be enthusiastic, able to work as part of a team and flexible. The Kitchen Hand is is charge of morning and afternoon, and the serving of our outsourced lunches. 

To qualify for this position you need to comply with the Cooks In Education And Care Services Qualification Guidelines. This requires you to have successfully completed units in:

• menu planning;

• nutrition; and

• safe food handling.

The role will include tasks such as

• Food preparation for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.

• Safe food handling for allergic/anaphylactic children

• Meal plating and service and taking to classrooms

• Kitchen cleaning and dishwashing

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring that general day to day procedures are followed

• Work collaboratively with other team members within the kitchen and throughout the service.

You will also need to have or be willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check
