Key Functions and Responsibilities:

• Providing quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Ensuring that all the resources within their control are utilised as efficiently and effectively as possible.
• Being pro-active and making decisions and taking action on issues which are within their control.
• Informing their Supervisor of any issue which impacts on their ability to effectively fulfil the requirements of the Position Description.
• The implementation of safe working practices.
• Providing for the safe and orderly passage of persons crossing the designated school crossing.
• Supervision of the designated crossing at the prescribed times in accordance with the provisions of the Road Rules – Victoria.
• Monitoring crossing for illegal traffic practices.
• Maintenance of equipment.
• Provision of ongoing public relations and Council image.

• • Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
  • Prior experience in role responsible for safety of children.
  • Understanding of Victorian road rules and pedestrian rights.
