Insurance Manager

What you’ll be doing. 
In this exciting new role, you’ll be the go-to expert shaping and strengthening CHL’s insurance program bringing together strategy, governance, renewals, claims and continuous improvement to help protect our people, places and purpose. From leading a smart, value-for-money insurance portfolio and driving annual renewals, to partnering with brokers, insurers and internal teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring CHL is well covered, well informed and ready for what’s ahead. You’ll also provide trusted advice on insurance requirements, contractual risk, projects and organisational change, while keeping clear frameworks, registers and executive reporting in place to support confident, consistent decision-making. 

What we’re looking for
This is your chance to take the lead on a brand-new, high-impact role where insurance is anything but boring. You’ll shape a smart, future-focused insurance program that helps protect CHL’s people, operations and purpose. 

You’ll make an impact by: 

• Owning CHL’s insurance portfolio and making sure our coverage is sharp, strategic and fit for purpose. 

• Leading the annual renewal process from start to finish — bringing together data, brokers, insurers, negotiations and market insights. 

• Keeping claims moving smoothly, with clear coordination, great documentation and a focus on timely outcomes and strong recoveries. 

• Being the trusted insurance advisor across projects, procurement, operations and organisational change. 

• Building practical frameworks, processes and registers that make insurance easier to manage and easier to understand. 

• Turning insurance data into clear, useful insights for Executive and governance forums — highlighting performance, trends, risks and opportunities to improve.
