AutoPlay is the lead management platform that car dealerships, dealer groups and vehicle manufacturers across New Zealand and Australia run their sales floors on. Every enquiry tracked from first contact through to vehicle handover: leads from every source in one inbox, follow up automated, trade appraisals priced at the desk, stock published to the marketplaces buyers already use. We work with dealers of every size, from single sites through to groups and manufacturer networks, on both sides of the Tasman. We are part of Vela APX, so we have the backing of a group with the pace of a product team.

We are hiring an Account Manager in Perth to own the AutoPlay relationship with dealers across Western Australia. You will be our person on the ground in the state: the one our clients ring, the one who walks their sales floor, and the one who makes sure the platform is earning its place in their business.

AI does the admin. You do the part it cannot.

AutoPlay is building an agentic business, and it changes what this job looks like. AI and automation sit at the front of how we work, and we expect them to carry the admin that used to eat an account manager's week.

That leaves the part AI cannot do. Sitting across the desk from a dealer principal. Reading a sales floor. Knowing which consultant needs a hand and which one needs a push. Building the trust that makes a dealer ring you first. That is where we want your hours to go. You do not need to have worked this way before, but you do need to want to.

What you will be doing

·       Owning a book of dealer accounts across Western Australia, from single sites to groups, with regular phone contact and visits in person.

·       Driving adoption, so the gap closes between what a dealership pays for and what it actually gets out of the platform.

·       Taking second level ownership of every issue on your book, whether you fix it or drive it through our support and product teams.

·       Training new dealership staff and running sessions that make the platform stick.

·       Handling inbound enquiries in your territory: qualifying, demonstrating and closing. This is real, and it is capped at 20 to 25 per cent so the existing book never pays for it.

·       Logging every client conversation in HubSpot, calls included, so the rest of the business can see your accounts while you are on the road.

·       Carrying what you hear on dealer floors back to product, support and the leadership team.

What you will bring

·       Automotive experience, strongly preferred. Time inside a dealership, a dealer group or an automotive supplier, and a real feel for how a sales floor works.

·       Experience using AutoPlay is a genuine advantage. If you have run it inside a dealership or a group, tell us in the first line of your application.

·       A track record in account management, customer success or dealership sales, carrying your own accounts and your own targets.

·       Legendary people skills. You enjoy building rapport and people trust you quickly.

·       Strong listening, negotiation and presentation skills, in person, on the phone and on video.

·       Confidence with technology and appetite for AI. You pick up new tools quickly and look for the version of a task that takes ten minutes instead of an hour.

·       Self direction. Perth is a long way from our Auckland office. You set your own week, you follow through, and you say where things stand before anyone asks.

·       A current driver's licence and the right to work in Australia. Some travel across the state, and occasionally interstate or to New Zealand.

·       $75,000 to $90,000 AUD plus superannuation, reviewed annually.
