Carino Care | Residential Aged Care | Sydney
About the role
Carino Care is seeking two compassionate and experienced Physiotherapists, one full-time and one part-time, to provide services across our four residential aged care homes located in Oatley, Rockdale, Russell Lea and Sylvania. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive multidisciplinary team and make a meaningful difference to the mobility, independence, comfort and quality of life of older people.
Key responsibilities
Complete comprehensive physiotherapy, mobility and functional assessments.
Develop and review individualised treatment, rehabilitation and exercise programs.
Deliver falls-prevention, mobility, balance, strength and pain-management interventions.
Assess residents following falls, changes in mobility or deterioration in function.
Recommend appropriate mobility aids, transfer equipment and seating.
Provide manual-handling and safe-transfer advice to care and nursing staff.
Contribute to care planning, clinical reviews and multidisciplinary case discussions.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Support residents to achieve their individual mobility and quality-of-life goals.
Work collaboratively with residents, families, nursing staff, care workers, medical practitioners and allied health professionals.
About you
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
Valid Australian working rights.
Strong communication, assessment and clinical documentation skills.
A person-centred and respectful approach to supporting older people.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively across a multidisciplinary environment.
Previous residential aged care experience is desirable but not essential.
