Cellar Hand / Blender

Alepat Taylor is a leading Australian privately owned wholesale and manufacturing business specialising in the distribution, bottling and canning of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

As a Cellar Hand/Blender you will play a crucial role in the production of wine and other beverages by working closely with the Manufacturing Manager and wider production team to ensure products are blended, processed and manufactured to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage wine and all other beverage blends to achieve desired quality and flavour profiles. 

• Prepare and manage all blends according to production specifications.

• Assist in all manufacturing operations, including fermentation, filtering and bottling.

• Conduct quality checks, including sensory evaluation and lab testing of blends.

• Record and maintain accurate production and blending data and logs

• Monitor and adjust blending ratios to achieve desired flavor profiles and quality standards.

• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, such as pumps and filters.

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitisation of tanks, equipment and all manufacturing areas

• Assist with inventory management, including tracking raw materials and finished products.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

About You

• Previous experience in a cellar hand, blending, or winemaking role is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Flexible and willing to work extended hours during peak periods.

• Forklift certification is required.
