Mechanical Engineering Assistant | Sunshine

One of our valued clients is the largest Diesel Engine manufacturer in the world. With offices around Australia they need an experienced Mechanical Engineering Assistant to join their team at Sunshine. Casual minimum 3 days per week Monday to Friday MORNING shift.


The Role: Supporting Senior engineers with the below duties (but not limited to):

• Forklift Licences (Highly regarded)
• Assist engineers by preparing and reviewing technical drawings
• Collecting and analysing data/Document management
• Ensure compliance within specifications and safety standards
• Assist in the design and development of engineering systems, products, and processes.
• Communicate clearly and efficiently with engineers and stakeholders 
• Assist in troubleshooting and solving technical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain timelines and budget restraints.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field. (highly regarded)Technical knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of CAD tools and engineering design principles.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Excellent analytical, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.

This entry level/early career professional, product focused position performs established technical tasks at the sub-system and/or component level for current and future products within a given
business unit or corporate area.

This involves work across many steps in the product life cycle.
Because of the product centered nature of this position, they are very often a central point of coordination and decision making between product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers and manufacturing.
