Pindara Private Hospital is seeking a motivated individual to join their friendly Theatre team on a casual basis. In this role, you will be providing support to the perioperative team.

As a Theatre Orderly, your duties include, but are not limited to, patient transfers, operating and problem solving surgical equipment, patient positioning in theatre, response to emergencies, general cleaning, infectious cleans and assisting with daily operations in the Theatre Department and hospital. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills and Experience

• Prior experience as a theatre orderly/wardsperson is not essential but highly desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Cert III highly desirable
• Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently
• A strong willingness to learn and develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures
• Motivated and positive with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong understanding of manual handling and infection control procedures

On offer for this position is a base hourly rate of $27.30 - $32.94 + superannuation (exclusive of casual loading) based on experience.
