About the role
Mining MEM Recruiter WA
Dynamic Diesel Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Mining MEM Recruiter to work closely with our WA Operations Manager and support the continued growth of our Western Australian operations.
Flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home opportunities.
This is not simply an application-processing role. We are looking for someone who understands mining maintenance and Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM), can confidently engage with tradespeople, identify genuine experience and present quality candidates to our clients.
About Dynamic Diesel
Dynamic Diesel Mechanical Services is an Australian-owned and operated specialist workforce provider established in 2001.
We supply skilled personnel across the mining, civil, rail and bulk haulage sectors throughout Australia, with experience supporting more than 150 mine sites nationally.
The Role
Reporting directly to the WA Operations Manager, you will take ownership of candidate recruitment and screening across our WA operations.
Your key focus will be finding, engaging and qualifying skilled mining personnel and ensuring suitable candidates are professionally presented and progressed efficiently through recruitment and onboarding.
Your responsibilities will include:
Source, review and shortlist candidates for priority WA mining roles.
Conduct detailed phone screening interviews with tradespeople.
Assess candidates' MEM, mining, OEM, equipment and site experience against specific client requirements.
Build genuine rapport with candidates and maintain regular communication throughout the recruitment process.
Understand the difference between a candidate who simply holds the required trade and one who has the relevant equipment and mining experience our clients require.
Prepare and format professional candidate resumes for submission to clients, clearly highlighting relevant experience, equipment exposure and competencies.
Maintain an active pipeline of suitable candidates for current and upcoming requirements.
Conduct reference checks and verify employment history where required.
Follow up candidates regarding licences, qualifications, medicals, inductions, site requirements and other onboarding information.
Work closely with the Mobilisation Team to ensure successful candidates progress efficiently from recruitment through to mobilisation.
Maintain accurate candidate information and recruitment activity within our recruitment system.
Provide regular updates to the WA Operations Manager regarding candidate pipelines, priority vacancies and recruitment challenges.
Maintain communication with candidates who are not immediately placed to build a strong ongoing talent pool.
What We Are Looking For
Ideally, you will have previous recruitment experience within mining, heavy mobile equipment, maintenance or labour hire.
More importantly, you need to understand the people you are recruiting.
You should be comfortable discussing experience across areas such as:
Heavy Diesel Fitters / MEM Fitters
Auto Electricians
HD Mechanics
HRT / Truck Mechanics
LV Fitters
Drill Fitters
Ancillary Equipment
CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr and other major mining OEM equipment
Fixed and mobile plant maintenance environments
You will also need:
Strong verbal communication and candidate engagement skills.
The confidence to have detailed conversations with experienced mining tradespeople.
The ability to quickly build rapport and determine whether a candidate is genuinely suitable for a role.
Strong written communication and resume preparation skills.
High attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple candidates and vacancies simultaneously.
Strong follow-up and organisational skills.
The ability to work to priorities and deadlines set by the WA Operations Manager.
Experience with JobAdder or similar recruitment software is advantageous.
A strong understanding of mining recruitment, mobilisation and compliance requirements.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this position is not measured by how many resumes are processed.
It is measured by quality candidates being identified, properly screened, professionally presented and successfully progressed into employment.
We want someone who can build a candidate network, understand what our clients require and become a trusted recruitment partner to the WA Operations Manager.
What We Offer
You will join an established Australian business with a strong history in mining workforce services and an opportunity to play an important role in the growth of our WA division.
We offer:
Direct involvement with the WA Operations Manager.
A recruitment role focused on quality rather than simply processing applications.
Career progression opportunities as the WA operation continues grows.
Support from our HR and Mobilisation teams.
If you understand mining maintenance, know how to communicate with tradespeople and take pride in finding the right person rather than simply filling a vacancy, we want to hear from you.
Experience the Dynamic Difference.

Only candidates with Australian working rights will be considered.
