Educator - Augustine Heights LDC & Kindy

St Augustine's Long Day Care + Kindergarten – Augustine Heights Located in the heart of Augustine Heights, St Augustine’s Long Day Care is a welcoming 75-place early learning centre offering a calm and peaceful environment for children, families and educators. With a spacious outdoor area and large backyard, our service provides wonderful opportunities for nature-based learning, exploration and play.

Supported by a collaborative team and positive workplace culture, we are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Casual Educator to join our team and provide high-quality education and care for children across our service.

This is a casual position suited to someone who values flexibility while being able to provide reliable support to our service. The successful applicant must have availability Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30am and 6:00pm.

As a Casual CSE, you will play an important role in supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing while working collaboratively with educators and building positive relationships with children and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Create fun, engaging and educational experiences that support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
• Support the implementation of play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF and QKLG.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure high-quality outcomes for children and families.
• Support children's individual needs and promote inclusive practices.
• Assist with creating engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments that encourage curiosity, exploration and discovery.
• Participate in professional development and contribute positively to the culture of the service.
• Uphold Catholic Early EdCare's values and expectations in all aspects of your work.

Job Requirements

• Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent) or be studying towards a recognised qualification.
• Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
• Have a passion for working with children in a play-based learning environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of early childhood education practices, legislative requirements and quality frameworks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Completed mandatory Child Safety Training.
• A caring, enthusiastic and professional approach to working with children and families.
