Senior Administrative Officer

Matz Roofing Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Administrative Officer to provide advanced administrative, financial, and operational support across our business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys improving systems, and can confidently support both management and administrative teams.

About the Role

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day administrative operations

• Manage document control, office systems, and compliance workflows

• Prepare invoices, purchase orders, AP/AR processing, and cost tracking

• Support payroll through accurate timesheet checks and data entry

• Prepare reports, project summaries, and management documentation

• Maintain HR and compliance records (training, WHS, inductions, certifications)

• Act as a key liaison between admin staff, site teams, suppliers, and management

• Mentor junior administrative staff, allocate tasks, and support training

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 5 years administration experience, including advanced admin duties

• Strong financial administration experience (AP/AR, reporting, documentation)

• Experience supporting managers or senior executives

• Ability to coordinate administrative teams or functions

• High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Desirable

• Cert III/IV in Business Administration (or similar)

• Experience with payroll or accounting systems (e.g. MYOB)

• Experience in the commercial construction sector
