School Readiness Clinicians (Occupational Therapy & Speech Pathology)

About the Role

Help give every child the best possible start to school.

We're looking for passionate Occupational Therapists or Speech Pathologists (Grade 2) to join Monash Health's School Readiness Program, with up to 1.0 EFT available across multiple positions. Part-time and full-time applications are welcome.

Working across kindergartens in Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia, you'll help build the capability of educators and families to support children's communication, motor skills, social and emotional wellbeing, and participation in everyday learning.

This is a unique opportunity to step beyond traditional one-to-one therapy and make a broader impact through coaching, collaboration and evidence-based early intervention. In this role, you will:

• Partner with kindergarten educators and families to build confidence and capability.
• Deliver coaching, modelling and professional learning that supports children's development.
• Provide evidence-based strategies to improve communication, motor skills, wellbeing and participation.
• Work collaboratively within an experienced interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver services across kindergarten settings, community locations and online.
• Contribute to quality improvement, community engagement and innovative service delivery.

About the Child & Family Program

The Child and Family Program brings together Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Community Development Workers and many other allied health professionals to support children and families through early intervention and collaborative care.

Grounded in child and family-centred practice, evidence-based care and the Social Model of Health, we work alongside families, educators and communities to improve developmental outcomes and promote lifelong wellbeing.

About You

You are an experienced Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys working collaboratively with educators, families and communities. You'll bring:

• Experience working with preschool-aged children.
• A strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Experience delivering evidence-based assessment and intervention.
• Confidence facilitating education, coaching or group programs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to interdisciplinary practice.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team.
