About the role
Speech Pathologist – Full-Time or Part-Time
Caulfield South, Melbourne
$85,000–$108,000 + super, depending on experience, pro-rated if part time
Flexible full-time or part-time hours
A private practice role designed to be sustainable
Are you looking for a speech pathology role where flexibility, support and manageable workloads are genuinely built into your working week?
At Spark Speech Pathology, a full-time therapist typically has approximately five one-hour appointment blocks per day. Each block includes a 45-minute client session and 15 minutes of dedicated administration time. If you choose to do part time this will be modified to reflect your hours. Your day also includes time for planning, documentation and collaboration, approximately 3 hours each day with no clients and just time to prepare and plan!—you will not be expected to squeeze everything into the gaps between clients.
You will work alongside 15 speech pathologists and six administrative team members in our established Caulfield South clinic. This means there is nearly always someone nearby to discuss a client with, share an idea or help solve a clinical challenge.
We are currently looking for an experienced speech pathologist to join us on a full-time or part-time basis. We are flexible about days and hours and would love to design a role that suits both your life and your clinical interests.
Why you might love working at Spark
A manageable clinical workload: Approximately five client appointments per full working day, generally comprising 45 minutes of face-to-face therapy and 15 minutes of administration.
Genuine flexibility: Choose the days and hours that work best for you.
A caseload shaped around you: We will consider your experience, strengths and areas of interest when developing your caseload.
Individual supervision: Regular supervision with our practice principals or senior speech pathologists, with paid external mentoring available where appropriate.
Time and funding for professional development: A professional development budget of $1000 for a FTE, three paid PD days for a FTE and monthly in-house learning sessions.
Regular team learning: Fortnightly “Power Half Hour” sessions, monthly whole team professional developments by external presentors and frequent opportunities to learn from other clinicians.
Full administrative support: Our administration team assists with bookings, enquiries, payments and day-to-day client administration.
Excellent clinical resources: Access to an extensive collection of assessments, therapy resources, online programs and clinical subscriptions.
The equipment you need: A laptop and work phone are provided, with access to clinic iPads.
Minimal travel: The role is predominantly clinic-based, with only a small number of sessions in the local community.
Opportunities to progress: Experienced clinicians may have the opportunity to supervise team members, contribute to clinical development or move into a leadership role.
A connected workplace: Our team has protected time to eat lunch together each day, as well as optional social events throughout the year.

We are proud of our friendly and collaborative culture, but we do not expect you to simply take our word for it. If you progress through the recruitment process, we would be happy to arrange an informal conversation with a current team member so you can hear directly about what it is like to work at Spark.
