Centre 360 Youth and Family ServiceProviding counselling and support for financially disadvantaged young people and their families.
House of WelcomeSupporting people seeking asylum and refugees through transitional housing, casework, employment pathways and practical assistance.
As demand for our services continues to grow, supporting more than 115 people each night with housing and support, we are strengthening our organisational foundations to ensure long-term sustainability and impact.
We are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the future of SFSS.

About the RoleReporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the financial sustainability, integrity and compliance of the organisation.
This is a hands-on position that combines strategic financial leadership with operational excellence. You will work closely with the CEO, leadership team, Board and program managers, providing high-quality financial insights that support mission-driven decision making and effective service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee end-of-month and end-of-year processes
Prepare statutory financial statements, funding acquittals and compliance reports
Coordinate external audits and statutory reporting requirements
Lead organisational budgeting and forecasting processes
Develop financial models, scenario planning and variance analysis
Support funding submissions and program cost modelling
Provide strategic financial advice to support organisational decision making
Strengthen and maintain financial controls and governance frameworks
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and funding requirements
Manage GST, FBT and payroll-related obligations
Support organisational risk management activities
Optimise financial systems and processes
Drive advanced utilisation of Xero to improve efficiency and reporting
Enhance financial workflows and system integrations
Manage organisational cashflow and liquidity
Develop cashflow forecasting and sustainability reporting
Oversee banking and payment processes
Partner with program leaders to support service delivery and funding outcomes
Provide financial guidance to the CEO, Executive Team and Board
Contribute to strategic planning and organisational growth initiatives
You are an experienced finance professional who is motivated by purpose and enjoys working in a collaborative, values-led environment.
Essential ExperienceStrong experience in financial control, reporting and governance
Significant experience within the not-for-profit, community services or grant-funded sector
Advanced proficiency in Xero (essential)
Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and compliance obligations
Experience managing audits, budgets and financial reporting cycles
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
Experience with government funding and acquittal reporting
Experience in SCHADS Award environments
Experience using Xero across multi-program or cost-centre organisations
Experience implementing finance system improvements and integrations
Strong IT and systems capability
You will bring:
