Assistant Manager – Gravity Adventure Centre Midland

Gravity Adventure Centre Midland is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and reliable Assistant Manager to join our growing team at our Midland centre.

We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, support our team and help keep a busy adventure centre running smoothly.

Weekend availability is a MUST for this position.

The Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll work closely with the Centre Manager and management team to oversee the day-to-day operation of the centre.

This is a hands-on management role — you’ll be working alongside the team, interacting with customers and stepping in wherever needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising and supporting staff during shifts

• Opening and closing the centre

• Leading the team during busy weekend sessions

• Delivering excellent customer service

• Managing customer enquiries and resolving concerns

• Assisting with staff training and development

• Supporting front-of-house and café operations

• Overseeing parties, group bookings and general sessions

• Ensuring safety procedures and centre policies are followed

• Maintaining high presentation and cleanliness standards

• Assisting with stock, cash handling and general operational duties

• Taking responsibility for the centre when senior management is unavailable

Who We're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience

• Strong leadership and people skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Confidence managing a young and energetic team

• Great communication and problem-solving skills

• The ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods

• A proactive attitude — if something needs doing, you get involved

• Strong reliability and time management

• Experience in hospitality, recreation, retail, entertainment or another busy customer-facing environment

Weekend Availability – Essential

Applicants MUST have regular weekend availability.

Saturday and Sunday are some of our busiest trading days, and the Assistant Manager will play an important role in managing these shifts.

Applicants who are unable to regularly work weekends will not be suitable for this position.

Availability during school holidays and public holidays is also highly desirable.
