About the role
Council is seeking a motivated and technically capable Stormwater Engineer to support the sustainable management of our stormwater infrastructure, drainage systems, flood information and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) assets.
About the role:
As a Stormwater Civil Engineer, you will support the planning, design and delivery of Council's stormwater infrastructure and flood management programs. The role includes preparing concept designs, cost estimates, business cases and project briefs, assisting with the delivery of stormwater renewal and upgrade projects, and developing practical solutions to drainage and infrastructure issues.
You will provide technical advice on stormwater, drainage, flooding and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) matters, support development assessments, maintain flood and stormwater records, investigate customer enquiries and drainage complaints, and contribute to asset management, compliance and grant funding initiatives. Working closely with the Senior Civil Engineer, you will help deliver sustainable, resilient and community-focused stormwater outcomes.
What you’ll bring to the role:
To be successful in this role, you will have a sound understanding of stormwater engineering principles and a practical approach to problem-solving, combined with strong communication and organisational skills.
