Customer Service Officer Altona

Laserbond is a leading Australian engineering and surface technology company delivering innovative solutions to the mining, manufacturing, energy and heavy industry sectors. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer to our customer service team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, coordinating orders and working closely with Sales, Engineering, Production and Operations to deliver a high level of service.

You will be a key point of contact for customers, supporting them from initial enquiry and quotation through to order processing, production and delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email.
• Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate customer and order information.
• Supporting Sales and Estimating with quotations and customer correspondence.
• Coordinating information between customers and internal teams.
• Providing customers with updates on job progress, completion and delivery.
• Coordinating quality documents, inspection reports and certificates.
• Assisting with freight, dispatch and delivery arrangements.
• Managing customer concerns and ensuring issues are followed up.
• Supporting invoicing and account enquiries with Finance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve customer service and internal processes.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and genuinely enjoys helping customers.

You will have:

• Previous experience in customer service, sales support, administration or order processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Sound problem-solving skills and good judgement.
• Confidence working with both customers and operational teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
• A willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, mining services or heavy industry will be highly regarded, as will experience with technical documents, drawings, ERP/CRM systems, quotations or purchase orders.

You’ll be positive, professional and solutions-focused, with the ability to stay calm when priorities change or challenges arise.

Most importantly, you’ll take ownership, communicate clearly and follow things through.
