Flooring Xtra Commercial is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Commercial team on a part-time basis.

This isn't a junior customer service position.

You'll be working in a busy commercial flooring environment where construction jobs need to keep moving, maintenance matters need to be worked through, and Builders, Site Supervisors, Installers, suppliers, and customers need clear answers and reliable follow-up.

We're looking for someone with previous flooring industry experience who can step into the environment, work independently and take genuine ownership of their responsibilities.

What you'll be doing

Your role will include:

• Working primarily at a desk, managing a high volume of system-based tasks, calls and emails

• Managing jobs and workflow with a high level of accuracy

• Communicating with Builders, Site Supervisors, Installers, Suppliers and customers

• Following up outstanding information and actions to keep jobs progressing

• Managing construction-related administration as well as maintenance and warranty matters

• Investigating customer and installer issues and working through solutions

• Processing invoicing, supplier claims, credits, recharges and purchase orders

• Maintaining accurate job notes, documentation and system information

• Identifying missing information, discrepancies, delays and potential issues

• Supporting Account Managers and Business Development Managers

• Managing competing priorities and ensuring commitments aren't allowed to fall through the cracks

The underlying PD specifically requires proactive issue resolution, workflow management, accurate documentation and support across builders, installers and customers.

What we're looking for

• Previous flooring industry experience is essential.

• You'll also need to be someone who:

• Is self-sufficient and doesn't need hand-holding

• Is proactive and follows things through

• Can confidently hold their ground when required

• Remains calm and professional under pressure

• Communicates effectively with different personalities and stakeholders

• Is highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities

• Has strong attention to detail

• Takes responsibility for resolving issues rather than simply passing them on

• Enjoys being part of a team but can operate independently

• Picks up new systems and software quickly and adapts well to process/system changes
