Finance & Control Manager

Yokohama TWS is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance & Control Manager to join our leadership team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, Australia, this pivotal role is responsible for leading the financial management, reporting, compliance, governance, planning and analytical functions of the business.

About the Role

As the Finance & Control Manager, you will ensure the integrity of financial information, maintain compliance with legislative and accounting requirements, oversee treasury and cash flow management, and provide strategic financial insights that support business growth and decision-making.

You will also work closely with Shared Services teams and key stakeholders across the business to optimise financial processes, strengthen controls and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of financial policies, controls and governance frameworks.

• Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation legislation and statutory reporting requirements.

• Oversee financial accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, fixed asset management and general ledger integrity.

• Manage cash flow, treasury activities, working capital and banking relationships.

• Coordinate external audits, tax compliance activities and regulatory submissions.

• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and performance insights.

• Provide commercial analysis, business case evaluation and profitability reporting.

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team to achieve high-performance outcomes.

• Build strong relationships across the business and contribute to strategic projects and initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

• CPA, CA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.

• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a senior finance or accounting position.

• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, taxation and corporate compliance requirements.

• Proven experience leading finance teams and managing financial reporting functions.

Desirable

• Experience within manufacturing, distribution or industrial sectors.

• ERP implementation and financial process improvement experience.

• Advanced financial modelling and commercial analysis capability.
