About the role
South Coast FM (SCFM) | Wonthaggi, VIC 20 Hours per Week | Hybrid Role
South Coast FM is seeking a passionate and organised Station Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our community radio station and support its continued growth and sustainability.
Reporting to the Board, this role combines leadership, administration, governance, community engagement, and operational management. You will work closely with staff, volunteers, sponsors, community groups, and regulatory bodies to ensure the station delivers valuable local broadcasting services.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage and support staff, volunteers, and contractors.
Manage daily station operations, administration, and reporting.
Implement strategic priorities and support organisational growth.
Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and grant applications.
Ensure compliance with community broadcasting, legal, and organisational requirements.
Build strong relationships with sponsors, community organisations, government agencies, and stakeholders.
Support programming and sponsorship activities.
About You
You will bring:
Experience in leadership, staff and volunteer management.
Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in compliance, governance, and risk management.
Grant writing or funding application experience.
Experience in the community broadcasting, not-for-profit, or volunteer sector.
A commitment to community participation, diversity, inclusion, and local engagement.
