PM Operations Supervisor

We are looking for a hands-on and highly organised PM Operations Supervisor to join our Sydney operations team reporting to PM Operations Manager.

This is a key role responsible for maintaining control of the PM operation, ensuring linehaul movements are coordinated effectively, trailers are utilised efficiently, quality standards are maintained, and the shift is closed out accurately and on time.

You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment, can make decisions under pressure and has the confidence to coordinate drivers, trailers and operational priorities across the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Linehaul Coordination – coordinate nightly linehaul movements, ensuring trailers, drivers and freight are aligned to operational requirements.

• Trailer Utilisation – maximise trailer capacity and ensure freight is allocated efficiently to available equipment.

• Quality Control – monitor operational standards throughout the shift and ensure freight, scanning, loading and documentation requirements are met.

• Shift Close – take ownership of the end-of-shift process, ensuring all freight movements, equipment and operational requirements are reconciled and closed correctly.

• Traffic Management – coordinate the movement of vehicles and equipment within the site to maintain a safe, efficient and controlled operation.

• Incident Management – respond to operational incidents, escalate where required and ensure appropriate actions are taken and documented.

• PM Manager Relief – provide Shift Control and operational leadership when the PM Operations Manager is away, ensuring the shift continues to run effectively and priorities are managed.

• Work closely with drivers, warehouse teams, customer service and management to resolve issues and keep freight moving.

• Identify operational inefficiencies and actively contribute to improving the performance of the PM operation.

 About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has experience in transport, logistics, linehaul or warehouse operations.

• Has strong knowledge of PM/night-time transport operations.

• Can confidently coordinate multiple priorities in a time-critical environment.

• Is comfortable taking ownership and making decisions without constant supervision.

• Has strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Understands the importance of safety, quality, productivity and accountability.

• Is highly organised and has strong attention to detail.

• Wants to be part of building a high-performing operational culture, not simply managing the status quo.
