The Role
This role is responsible for providing expert guidance, leadership, and oversight of health and safety systems to ensure a safe working environment, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in safety performance across operations. The role supports and drives a proactive safety culture across site operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Operations this role can be based in Adelaide, with site travel, or based in Whyalla.
Key Responsibilities
Support senior management and executives with meeting statutory regulationsMaintain and improve the safety management system (SMS)Coordinate statutory reporting requirementsRadiation safety and controlsEnsure compliance with WHS Act and regulationsImplement and verify critical controls and risk mitigation strategiesMaintain risk registers and support continuous improvementProvide leadership in risk assessments and risk management systemsLead investigations into incidents and high-potential eventsEnsure regulatory reporting requirements are metConduct audits, inspections and verify corrective actionsDeliver safety training, inductions and competency supportSupport site emergency preparedness, drills and response capabilities What we offer

Essential Criteria
Relevant qualification in Work Health and Safety or related disciplineFirst Aid certified7-10 years’ experience within mining minimumStrong knowledge of WHS ActRadiation Safety Officer experienceDesirable
Experience in uranium in-situ recovery operationsExperience with Donesafe safety management systemRadiation Safety experienceApplications:
