Storeperson / Cleaner

Located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, Laucke Mills is a family-owned stockfeed milling business, producing a range of quality stock and poultry feeds for both the domestic and commercial markets. Established in 1899, and supporting ever-growing demand, Laucke Mills operates one of the most technically advanced and diverse mills in Australia and is currently embarking on a significant expansion project.

We are seeking a reliable and safety focused Production Storeperson / Cleaner to join our team in Daveyston. This is a hands-on role responsible for the efficient intaking, movement and storage of product across production and warehouse areas, ensuring safety and quality.

This role also shares a responsibility to undertake the routine and systematic cleaning of the mill and grounds ensuring that standards are always maintained in line with company and Feedsafe requirements.

About the Role

You will play a key role in ensuring product is received, stored, and handled efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. You will also undertake the routine and systematic cleaning of the mill and grounds ensuring that standards are always maintained.

You are a proactive and dependable team player with good organisational skills and can work in a team environment as well as independently. You take pride in all aspects of your work knowing the importance of maintaining high safety and quality standards. the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment will be a distinct advantage.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Load and unload trucks as required

• Assist with stock take of all commodities on a monthly basis

• Empty the holding bay daily as directed by the Commodity Buyer and/or Intake Foreman

• Maintain liquid storage tank levels in tank farm and enzyme room appropriately

• Unload liquid tankers in a safe manner, as required

• Tank farm and enzyme room are maintained at an acceptable level of cleanliness

• Transfer stock from production area to distribution warehouse, ensuring rotation occurs

• Mill and surrounds kept clean and tidy

• Ensure cleaning duties on Weekly Mill Cleaning report are completed as assigned

• General mill duties as requested

Essential Requirements
