About the Role As the Senior Technical Officer (Design and Construct), you will provide critical administrative, procurement and contract management support to the City Design and Construction team. Working closely with project managers and key stakeholders, you'll ensure the efficient coordination of operational processes, procurement activities, contract administration, customer enquiries and governance requirements that support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects across the municipality.This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive professional with construction industry experience who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.What You’ll deliver Coordinate procurement and contract administration activities for City Design and Construction projectsManage customer requests, stakeholder enquiries, Councillor and Member of Parliament correspondenceSupport project managers with purchase orders, goods receipts and procurement compliance processesPrepare contract documentation, completion certificates, acceptance letters and financial securities administrationMaintain registers, conduct Landata title searches, process financial transactions and support business operations across the department
What You’ll Bring Experience in procurement and contract administration within the construction industryStrong knowledge of procurement processes and contract management principlesProven ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersHighly developed analytical, problem-solving and organisational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detailAbility to build productive relationships and achieve positive stakeholder outcomesDemonstrated initiative with the ability to work autonomously and collaborativelyCommitment to delivering high-quality customer service and continuous improvementWillingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check, Psychometric Testing, Functional Assessment (Medical/physio) delete what is not applicable
