This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant or emerging Assistant Manager to join the Audit & Assurance division in Darwin, working closely with senior leadership while contributing to high-quality audit engagements and team development across a diverse client portfolio. 

The Role: 

• Support the delivery of audit and assurance engagements across a range of industry sectors 

• Work closely with Managers and Directors to plan, execute and complete audit assignments 

• Prepare and review audit working papers, documentation and client deliverables 

• Liaise directly with clients to manage expectations and support engagement outcomes 

• Ensure compliance with audit standards, reporting deadlines and quality requirements 

• Supervise, review and mentor junior staff during audit fieldwork 

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and audit completion processes 

• Contribute to improving audit quality, efficiency and team capability 

• Support client relationship development and ongoing engagement delivery 

• Work within a collaborative team environment aligned to best practice standards 

About You: 

• CA or CPA qualified or near completion 

• Experience in external audit or assurance within a professional services firm 

• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and reporting requirements 

• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills 

• Proven ability to supervise, review and mentor junior staff 

• Strong attention to detail and high level of numeracy skills 

• Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple engagements 

• Team-oriented, proactive and solutions-focused mindset 

• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build trusted client relationships
