Social Media & Content Executive

The Brisbane Racing Club is seeking a creative Social Media & Content Executive to join our marketing team. This dynamic, hands-on role combines organic social media management, content creation and live event coverage, showcasing the energy and excitement of one of Brisbane’s most iconic sporting and event destinations.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Management

• Lead the day-to-day management of BRC's organic social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
• Plan, develop and publish engaging content aligned to marketing campaigns, seasonal priorities and business objectives.
• Foster an engaged online community through timely responses and proactive community management.
• Capture and deliver high-quality real-time content during race meetings and major events, with a particular focus on Saturday race days.
• Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to continuously refine BRC's organic social strategy through performance insights and emerging industry trends.

Content Creation & Brand Storytelling

• Produce professional photography and videography that showcases the unique experiences across Brisbane Racing Club's venues and events.
• Create polished, platform-specific content using Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or equivalent creative software.
• Collaborate with the wider Marketing team to develop content that supports integrated campaigns across organic, paid and owned channels.
• Ensure all content consistently reflects BRC's brand identity, tone of voice and marketing objectives.

Digital Marketing & Events

• Coordinate influencer partnerships and content collaborations that align with brand and campaign goals.
• Maintain website content through WordPress and contribute to email and SMS marketing campaigns.
• Support broader marketing initiatives, including campaign delivery, SEO content and promotional activity.
• Attend race meetings and signature events to capture premium content while supporting marketing activations and enhancing the guest experience.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide meaningful reporting and recommendations to optimise future activity.

This position operates on a Tuesday to Saturday roster, with flexibility required to work evenings, weekends and public holidays in line with major events.

About You

You are an experienced social media and content professional with a strong understanding of digital marketing, audience engagement and brand storytelling. You have demonstrated success managing business social media channels, creating high-quality content and delivering campaigns that achieve measurable results.

You balance creativity with commercial awareness and are confident making decisions in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. Equally comfortable behind the camera or collaborating with stakeholders, you know how to capture authentic moments while maintaining a polished and professional brand presence.

You'll also bring:

• Proven experience managing social media for a recognised brand or organisation.
• Strong photography, videography and editing skills.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or comparable editing platforms.
• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Experience within sport, events, hospitality, entertainment or lifestyle industries will be highly regarded.
