About the Opportunity
Lead the operational coordination, implementation and continuous improvement of HETI-supported vocational training networks and medical education programs, including oversight of network functions, governance committee management, stakeholder engagement, performance monitoring and identification of opportunities for collaboration, consistency and shared learning across networks. The role provides leadership and direction to network coordinators and support staff to ensure effective network operations and contributes to the delivery of statewide medical education and training priorities that support high-quality trainee and supervisor outcomes across NSW.

Pre-screening questions 

1. Describe your experience coordinating the delivery of education and vocational training programs for doctors, including your understanding of medical training pathways, supervision arrangements and accreditation requirements.

2. Provide an example of an education or vocational training program for doctors that you have coordinated in a hospital environment. In your response, describe how you managed planning, stakeholders, risks, reporting and improvements to support effective program delivery. 

Selection Criteria

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health, Education or Business Management or equivalent experience, and extensive relevant professional experience in a complex health, medical education or training environment.
2. Demonstrated ability to manage, coach and support staff, foster effective team practices, contribute to a positive workplace culture and support staff development within a busy program environment.
3. Strong conceptual, analytical and systems thinking skills, including the ability to understand governance and operational environments, identify practical solutions and support improvements in work practices.
4. Demonstrated project and program management experience within a health, medical education or training context, including planning, implementation, budget management, risk management, governance support, evaluation and reporting of project and program outcomes.
