Digital Coordinator - Central Coast Greens

The Greens Party movement is based on the four pillars of social equity and economic justice, ecological sustainability, grassroots democracy, and peace, nonviolence and disarmament. Greens parties across the world share these same principles and values.

In NSW we have seven Members of Parliament, two Senators in the Federal Parliament, and seventy local government Councillors.

Key responsibilities

This position is responsible to the Central Coast Greens SEC27 campaign committee (Campaign Coordinator) and will create social media and digital advertising content to support the Central Coast Greens state election campaigns in the Gosford, Terrigal, The Entrance and Wyong electorates.

Responsibilities will include: 

1. Use appropriate software to produce social media content, including Instagram posts, memes, Facebook squares and website content.
2. Use appropriate software applications to create, edit and publish video content for social media, YouTube and the Central Coast campaign websites.
3. Manage the Central Coast Greens State digital advertising campaign in accordance with Greens NSW compliance requirements and campaign budget.
4. Liaise with internal stakeholders to supply photography/ videography content.
5. Repurpose appropriate graphic and video material supplied by Australian and NSW Greens for local group campaign requirements.
6. Maintain a variable weekly posting schedule across digital channels, with the aims of brand awareness, building community and reaching persuadable communities that increases reach and/or engagement.
7. Increase the engagement of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and LGBTQIA+ communities.

Essential requirements

The Digital Campaigner must meet the following essential requirements:

1. Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with social media and digital advertising platforms.
2. Demonstratable ability with producing static and video content for social media platforms.
3. A commitment to The Greens and to advancing Greens policies and principles including an understanding of the Greens and support for the party’s principles, policies, and decision-making processes.
4. Understand of and willingness to be directed regarding electoral compliance requirements.
5. Understanding of NSW and Australian political issues and the political system
6. Excellent communication skills, including persuasive and accurate written language.
7. Excellent organisational skills in managing competing priorities and deadlines.
8. Excellent attention to detail, spelling, grammar and editing skills.
9. Demonstrated emotional intelligence, problem-solving skills and resilience.
10. Essential: A current Working with Children Check or a willingness to obtain one in the first month of employment
11. Experience with the Greens NSW system of ensuring consistency with electoral commission compliance regulations would be an advantage.

Successful candidates must not be a member of another political party.

Time requirement

ASAP to 3/10/26 - 3hrs/week

3/10/26 to 30/1/27 – 6hrs/week for 17 weeks (102 hours)

30/1/27 to 13/3/27 – 12hrs/week for 6 weeks (72 hours)
