About the role
Financial Accountant (Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: Moore Park

Founded in 2010, the Divas brand has transformed the beverage landscape by leveraging advanced, proprietary technology and a visionary approach to winemaking.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our team on a 6–12 month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of key financial accounting responsibilities while also supporting budgeting, forecasting and commercial reporting activities. This is a broad position where you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing meaningful financial insights and contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Performing daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including reconciling receipts and recording revenue.
Preparing weekly payroll, including variance checks and payslip distribution.
Balance sheet reconciliations, journals and financial analysis
Managing month-end and year-end close processes.
Reconciling asset accounts between accounting system and inventory system.
Preparing payroll tax and BAS/PAYG obligations.
Maintaining statutory records and prepare monthly reporting.
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
Variance analysis and providing commentary to senior stakeholders
Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, systems and finance processes
Coaching one Accounts Officer, overseeing workload, performance, and compliance with company procedures.
About You
You'll have strong technical accounting capability, enjoy working with stakeholders across the business.
Strong month-end accounting and reconciliation skills.
Strong knowledge of payroll, general ledger, and month-end processes.
Systems-savvy with a continuous improvement mindset. Knowledge of Vinsight system will be highly regarded.
Knowledge of wine industry will be highly regarded.
Ideally three or more years' experience in a similar accounting role.
Good Excel skills are essential.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
CA/CPA near completion
