For over 40 years, Australians have trusted Forty Winks as their local neighbourhood sleep advisor, committed to helping people wake up feeling rested and ready for the day.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based at the Forty Winks store in Chirnside Park, VIC. The Salesperson will welcome customers, listen to their needs, and provide tailored advice on mattresses, beds, and bedding to support better sleep. Day-to-day tasks include demonstrating products, explaining features and benefits, preparing quotes, processing sales, and maintaining accurate point-of-sale records. The role also involves keeping the showroom clean and well-presented, updating product displays, and supporting promotional activities. The Salesperson will collaborate with the store team to meet sales targets while delivering a positive, respectful, and customer-focused experience.Qualifications Demonstrated customer service and retail sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, ask effective questions, and guide customers through purchase decisions.Strong communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and the ability to explain product features and benefits in accessible language.Basic computer and point-of-sale proficiency, including handling transactions, updating customer records, and using store systems accurately.Ability to work in a busy showroom environment, including standing for extended periods, moving stock safely, and maintaining store presentation standards.Proven reliability, time management, and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude toward learning and continuous improvement.Previous experience in furniture, bedding, or similar retail sectors is beneficial but not essential; interest in sleep health and product knowledge is an advantage.Availability to work across weekdays, weekends, and public holiday trading hours in line with store requirements.
