Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout

Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital opened on 4 November 2013, offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and day services across a wide range of specialties.

Facilities include 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11 bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and an 9 chair day therapy unit. Medical consulting suites are located onsite together with comprehensive pathology and radiology services.

About the Role:

There are multiple permanent full-time and part time positions available within Theatre Scrub Scout department at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. We are looking for highly motivated, passionate and experienced scrub scout nurses who are interested in developing and advancing their clinical practice and knowledge within the fast-paced and exciting world of Perioperative.

 About You:

The successful applicants will be required to work across all shifts covering a 7-day rotating roster and as time progresses, will be required to participate in the on-call roster.

We are seeking applicants that are self-motivated, with a commitment to providing a high level of quality patient care that meet the following criteria:

• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire for excellence
• Sound knowledge of evidence-based practice expected for current nursing level
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on the customer experience and excellent patient outcomes
• Desire, commitment and passion continue their practice within the Scrub Scout Perioperative Team
