The Opportunity

Reporting to the Industrial Design Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of complex structural engineering projects across the industrial, buildings and water infrastructure sectors.

You will lead structural design packages from concept through to detailed design, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, innovative and commercially focused engineering solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically capable and proactive engineer who thrives on delivering challenging projects and enjoys taking ownership of design outcomes within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Ideally you will be a proven Engineer and have experience in industrial and building structures. While we value diverse structural engineering backgrounds, this role is not suited to candidates whose experience is predominantly focused on bridge or transport structure design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of structural design packages for industrial, building and infrastructure projects.
• Undertake structural analysis, design and technical assessments for a variety of structural systems.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, specifications, calculations and design deliverables.
• Coordinate effectively with civil, geotechnical, mechanical, environmental and architectural disciplines to ensure integrated project outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards, client requirements and industry best practice.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, quality assurance processes and a strong safety culture.

About You:

• Degree-qualified in Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience delivering structural engineering projects.
• Strong experience in the design of industrial facilities, processing plants, commercial buildings, water infrastructure and similar building structures.
• Demonstrated success delivering industrial and building projects through detailed design phases.
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles, Australian Standards and industry best practice.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and project delivery skills.
