OVERVIEW Responsible for initial allocations, replenishment and consolidations, sending the right stock, to the right place, at the right time to achieve financial objectives.Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Merchandise Allocator will execute allocation strategies, manage in-season inventory movements, and provide data-driven insights to optimise stock levels across the business.

Inventory ManagementDevelop initial allocation strategies at the style-colour-size level, guided by the Planner, considering product performance, fashionability, seasonality, store capacity, product type and store feedback.Managing replenishment and balancing priorities based on business requirements to maximise sales and sell through performance.Oversee accurate and timely allocation of seasonal orders, considering store capacity, buy quantities and store performance, understanding metrics such as ROS and cover.Recommend and execute consolidations, considering price status/VM requirements.Allocate free stock and recuts as necessary, recommending replenishment strategy to align with business objectives.Working closely with the Logistics team to ensure orders are allocated accurately and arrive on time in stores and online, communicating any necessary updates to key stakeholders, being on top of weekly updates on shipping status
ReportingAnalyse sales performance and monitor sell through/cover, proposing actions to improve sales performance and reduce consolidation requirement /markdown risk to the business.Present in a clear, concise and accurate manner.Develop strong understanding of store and regional specific sales trends and performance through data analysis and regular communication with Retail and Trade teams.Refresh Monday reports in a timely manner, checking accuracy.
Commercial AwarenessBuilding strong relationships and work collaboratively with the wider business - logistics, VM, buying, retail , online.Build a dynamic understanding of the customer through regular store visits & proactively seeking customer feedback from all business channels.Develop a robust understanding of the weekly sales, profit, margin drivers and trade reports, to propose strategic trading actions and identify opportunities across channels.
Training & DevelopmentInitiating improvements in best practice, continually challenging processes to ensure work is carried out in the most efficient way.
REQUIRED AND DESIRED SKILLS Technical and BehaviouralExperience in a retail allocations role preferred, but not requiredStrong commercial awareness with a focus on analytical and data-driven decision-makingExperience in store is highly regardedDetail-oriented with exceptional organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teamsProactive problem-solver with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environmentInterested in the fashion industry and commitment to delivering outstanding resultsIntermediate or Advanced Excel skills highly desirablePrevious experience with AP21, JOOR, Style Arcade highly desirable
