Belgian Beer Cafe Melbourne We are seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on Functions and Events Manager to join the team at Belgian Beer Café Melbourne. This exciting role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving successful event outcomes.

  As the Functions and Events Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event coordination, reservations, guest relations, and front-of-house operations. You will act as a key point of contact for corporate functions, private events, and group bookings, ensuring every event is professionally managed from enquiry through to execution.   Benefits

We actively promote and facilitate the development and career progression of all our employees.     Task & responsibilities Managing function and event enquiries, bookings, and client communications. Coordinating and delivering corporate events, private functions, and group dining experiences.

Overseeing reception and reservation operations to ensure a seamless guest experience. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders. Supporting front-of-house operations and assisting with the day-to-day management of the venue.

Monitoring event budgets, costs, and revenue to achieve business objectives. Ensuring high standards of customer service and operational excellence are consistently maintained. Leading, mentoring, and supporting team members to deliver outstanding service.

Qualification & experience Minimum 2 plus years' experience in hospitality, functions, or venue management roles, with a proven ability to coordinate events and deliver exceptional customer service. Experience managing functions and events in a busy hospitality environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.

Excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure outstanding guest experience. Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume venue. Knowledge of stock control, RSA, food safety, and workplace health & safety requirements.
