The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join the team delivering a major residential development project.
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the project. From procurement and subcontract administration through to cost management and variations, you will help drive project performance while mitigating commercial risk and ensuring successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the administration of subcontractor and supplier contractsPrepare, assess and negotiate variations, claims and extensions of timeAdminister procurement processes and subcontract packagesMonitor contract compliance and identify commercial risksPrepare progress claims, payment assessments and cost reportsSupport project forecasting, budgeting and cost control activitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholdersAssist in the resolution of contractual and commercial issuesEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and company procedures
About You
4+ years' experience in a Contract Administrator role within commercial constructionExperience working on projects valued at $50M+Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost managementExcellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organisational capabilityResidential, apartment or social housing project experience highly regardedRelevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
