Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Half Price Salon Supplies is seeking a Retail Sales Associate who understands professional hairdressing and beauty. This role is about education, trust, and getting customers the right product every time. You are the brand our customers see, and when someone walks out the door, they should feel they got real advice, good value, and genuinely good service.

Key responsibilities

• Opening and closing the warehouse

• Serving a professional clientele — hairdressers, salons, and beauty professionals

• Recommending Professional Beauty and Hairdressing products based on real customer needs

• Handling cash with full honesty and accountability

• Receiving stock, stacking shelves, and cleaning the store

• Working independently with minimal supervision

About you

• Experience in a hair or beauty salon is essential — you need to understand the industry from the inside

• Above-average communication skills — able to take vague or incomplete information from a customer and turn it into the right product recommendation

• A genuine, caring approach to advice — you take pride in getting it right

• Trustworthy and reliable, especially around cash handling

• Comfortable working autonomously

• Experience in hair and beauty education is highly valued

The position is a permanent part time or casual role. Must be available every second Saturday 9-2 and other hours as needed during our published hours. If you are able to delevier education programs we will discuss what this looks like going forward.

Published Hours:** Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, plus every second Saturday, 9am–2pm
