We are currently seeking an experienced HD Mechanic to join our Winnellie, NT branch. This is an opportunity to work within a well-established company, maintaining a diverse range of machinery and equipment across our extensive hire fleet.
Please note this is a locally based role, and FIFO applicants will not be considered.
Responsibilities/duties will include:
Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently
Perform component rebuilds and major repairs as required
Identify issues and communicate findings with your supervisor
Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard
Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop areas in good working order
Follow safe work practices and company procedures
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification as a HD Mechanic
Experience carrying out mechanical servicing, repairs, and fault diagnosis on heavy machinery
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
A hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Current driver’s licence
Forklift/High Risk Work Licence (desirable)
Ability to travel and work between branches when required
Ability to successfully complete a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening
Desirable experience:
Previous experience working on earthmoving equipment
Experience with CAT and Komatsu machinery
