Operations Support Officer

Position overview:

Working with the Operations Team and VIC IT and Fleet Manager, you will provide general administrative support, be back up to essential areas and assist in basic IT support matters. You will be an administrative all-rounder with a passion for tech and solving problems.

Training/qualifications:

Experience of 2+ years in an administrative role.  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Fleet management experience is desirable.

• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• High attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and experience using Advanced Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of basic cash handling and point of sale systems
• Ability to relate to people and work collaboratively within a Team
• Highly organised and excellent time management skills
• Ability to support Apple and Android devices.
• Flexibility to provide occasional after-hours support and to travel to other CFMEU VIC sites as required.
• Eagerness to learn.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Role Accountabilities:

• Aid VIC IT and Fleet Manager where possible.
• Assist in the management of the Victorian branch vehicle fleet.
• Assist in training staff in new software installations.
• Assist with video conferencing equipment and provide first-level support to all meeting rooms as required.
• Assist in the management of the Victorian branch mobile fleet.
• Basic building/site security administration.
• Responsible for meeting room bookings at 536 Elizabeth Street, including management of bookings when required or in conjunction with the Operations Team.
• Provide back-up support and relief to merchandise, as required.
• Provide back-up support for Level 5 reception and membership, as required.
• Assist the Operations Team with CFMEU meetings and events.
• Responsible for management of first aid officers and fire wardens compliance at 540 Elizabeth Street
• Other duties as required.
