HC Driver

About the Role

Grid Contractors Pty Ltd is seeking 2 x HC Drivers and 1 x MC Driver to join our growing transport operations team in the Adelaide metropolitan area on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role is suited to experienced tipper drivers who take pride in operating safely, professionally and efficiently. You will be responsible for transporting quarry materials and bulk products while maintaining compliance with all road transport legislation, company policies and safety requirements.

Previous tipper experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HC or MC tipper vehicles safely and professionally.

• Complete daily pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections.

• Transport materials safely and efficiently to customer sites.

• Secure and tarp all loads in accordance with company procedures.

• Complete delivery documentation and electronic records accurately.

• Maintain fatigue compliance and adhere to NHVR regulations.

• Communicate effectively with allocators, customers and supervisors.

• Report vehicle defects, incidents and hazards promptly.

• Maintain a clean and professional presentation of vehicles.

• Promote and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Essential Requirements

• Current HC or MC Driver Licence.

• Minimum 2 years' tipper driving experience.

• Current White Card.

• Excellent driving history with a clean record.

• Sound knowledge of NHVR legislation, fatigue management and load restraint requirements.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and time management skills.

• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Desirable

• Experience operating in quarry, civil or construction environments.

• Familiarity with Adelaide metropolitan and regional South Australian routes.
