Webbing Textile Operator/ Technician

National Webbing Products Pty Ltd, a leader in the webbing industry, has an opportunity for full-time Webbing Textile Operator/ Technician to join our friendly team in Doveton/Dandenong. We provide the opportunity to learn our manufacturing process and specialist machinery to produce webbing related products, while exceeding customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will:

• Ideally have experience in warping and weaving of webbings or textile materials
• Be punctual, reliable, committed, self-motivated and able to work to a high standard
• Be able to work as part of a team and unsupervised to deadlines
• Be willing to learn
• Be physically fit and able
• Have strong organisational skills
• Forklift license desirable

Previous experience in a similar role or a manufacturing, assembling or factory environment is desirable but not essential. An understanding of OH&S and Quality Assurance processes and procedures is also beneficial.

Key responsibilities:

• Warping, weaving and dyeing webbing
• Operation, monitoring and maintenance of warping, weaving and dyeing machines while keeping efficiency and productivity to high levels
• Measuring, marking and cutting of webbing and other fabric such as canvas and PVC
• Working within the production team to ensure deadlines are met
• Ensuring cleanliness of factory and work areas
• Assisting with pack, finish and dispatch of customer orders and receipt of deliveries
