This position involves installing, maintaining and repairing split systems ducted systems and other air conditioning units in both residential and commercial properties. Typical daily tasks include reading and interpreting plans, measuring and positioning units, connecting electrical and refrigeration components and testing systems for proper operation. The Air Conditioning Installer will install, maintain, and repair split systems, ducted systems, and other air conditioning units in residential and commercial properties. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting plans, measuring and positioning units, connecting electrical and refrigeration components, testing systems for proper operation, and ensuring all work complies with safety and industry regulations. The role also involves diagnosing faults, performing routine servicing, maintaining tools and equipment, and completing job documentation. The installer will interact with customers on-site, provide clear communication about work performed, and collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently.Qualifications Strong practical skills in air conditioning installation, including working with split and ducted systems, pipework, and mounting units.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals accurately.Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including safe use of tools, ladders, and handling refrigerants.Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge suitable for air conditioning installations, with relevant licenses or certifications as required by local regulations.Effective problem-solving skills for diagnosing and repairing system faults and performance issues.Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain work and interact respectfully with clients and team members.Reliable time management and organizational skills to complete jobs on schedule and maintain accurate records.Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in air conditioning, refrigeration, or a related field preferred.Current driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites in and around Tuggerah, NSW.Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting equipment, working in confined spaces, and operating in varying weather conditions.
