Machine Operator/Factory Hand - Night Shift

About the role

Repeta is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator/Factory Hand to join our night shift manufacturing team in Riverstone, NSW. This is a 3-month trial into a permanent full-time position where you will play a vital role in our production operations, ensuring efficient and safe machine operation whilst maintaining our high standards of quality and output. As a Machine Operator/Factory Hand, you will be part of a small team responsible for operating manufacturing equipment in the plastic resin industry, preparing feedstock, troubleshooting minor issues.

What you'll be doing

1. Operating and monitoring production machinery (plastic extrusion) according to established procedures and specifications

2. Operating forklift for material preparation and handling

3. Performing routine maintenance checks and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance

4. Inspecting products for defects and ensuring compliance with quality standards

5. Recording production data and maintaining accurate logs of machine operations

6. Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or irregularities to supervisory staff

7. Following all safety protocols and contributing to a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues

8. Assisting with setup and changeover of machinery between production runs

9. Collaborating with the production team to meet daily and weekly targets

10. Assisting maintenance staff with repairs where needed

What we're looking for

1. Experience as a Machine Operator/Factory Hand or in a similar manufacturing role preferred

2. Forklift license is preferred but not mandatory

3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards

4. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for basic equipment issues

5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
