Electrical Supervisor - Commissioning - FIFO 2:1 (Day Rate $1260.00)

Summary
 
Red Arrow Australia are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor for our Tier 1 client to lead the safe and efficient commissioning and energisation of electrical systems across a major iron ore mining project.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage commissioning schedules aligned with construction milestones.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and HSE teams to ensure readiness and safe execution.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and commissioning procedures for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead and mentor commissioning technicians, electricians, and subcontractors.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve commissioning issues.
• Oversee installation verification, pre-commissioning checks, and functional testing of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and control panels.
• Witness and validate test results to ensure compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults to ensure systems are safe and operational.
• Ensure commissioning activities comply with HSE policies, electrical safety standards, and permit-to-work systems.
• Prepare commissioning reports, test certificates, and handover documentation.
• Maintain records of system status and commissioning progress.
• Report risks, delays, and technical issues to project management.
• Verify installations meet design intent and Australian standards (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).

Qualifications & Experience

• Electrical Trade Certificate or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• WA Electrical License
• HV Switching Ticket (desirable).
• Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical commissioning, ideally in iron ore or heavy industrial projects.
• Prior experience in FIFO roles and remote site operations.
• Valid driver's licence
