About the role
We are seeking a passionate, confident Outdoor Curriculum Leader to join Believe Early Education Logan Reserve. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the outdoors, values child‑led exploration, and can lead a high‑quality outdoor curriculum across the service, while taking on the role of Responsible Person to close the centre each day. This service is committed to continuous engagement with professional development in child protection for staff. There is a zero- tolerance culture of child maltreatment, abuse and neglect in this service.
Key responsibilities
As our Outdoor Curriculum Leader, you will:
· Lead the development and delivery of our outdoor curriculum
· Create engaging, inviting and age‑appropriate outdoor learning environments
· Respond to children’s interests through gardening, nature‑based experiences and physical exploration
· Support rooms where needed and collaborate with educators to embed outdoor learning into daily practice
· Maintain high standards of safety, supervision and child‑safe practices outdoors
· Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families
· Work closely with the leadership team to ensure consistency and quality
· Up to 37.5 hours a week, able to work until 6.30pm each night as the closing responsible person.
As we move toward introducing a strong physical outdoor curriculum, your strengths in outdoor learning and nature‑based education will be highly valued.
What we're looking for
A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher)
Strong experience in outdoor learning, nature‑based programs and physical environments
Confidence in leading curriculum and supporting educators
Skills in behaviour support, co‑regulation and emotional safety
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
A calm, reflective and professional approach
Commitment to high‑quality practice and child safety
Strong leadership skills, to mentor and guide other educators.
Able to take on responsibility of ensuring afternoon ratios’ and closing of centre is completed as per our centre policies and procedures.
